My son lives in CA and purchased a car in private sale. Is there a time limit that he is covered if something was wrong with the car? It's wheel was falling off on his way home a week after purchase. What is the law against not letting the buyer know of any problems. Now he has no car to drive because he doesn't have enough money to fix it. He wouldn't have bought that car if he knew the issue it had.

Anyone know if there is a law against this?

To top it all off the car was left on the side of the street and they towed it and now what happens to my son. He never registered the car. I know they can track him down and he thinks if just leaves the car at the garage they will just keep it if he doesn't come for it.
