I have a question about car ownership rights. I have a loan on a car that my daughter and son-in-law drive. The loan from the bank is in my name only. They put the title in their name. They occasionally make a payment, I make the payment that they don't. I found out they are planning to move to Florida and not make anymore payments. The bank still holds the title. Do I have the right to take the car?

If your name is not on the title, then you don't own it.

All you did was agree to pay a loan.

Speak with the loan company, tell them your problem. Since they still hold the title they may be able to help you. Also, you should ask them if they can and will reposess the car. You could also just stop paying the loan and then the company should repo. It may go on your credit report, but it may be worth it to teach your daughter and son-in-law a lesson. They sound very selfish and to do that to you is inexcusable.
