K Visa Canadian marrying an American

Hello, I have a situation and I really need some help. I am Canadian. My boyfriend is American. We travel back and forth to see one another. We are planning on getting married soon and I want to move to the States to be with him. What would be my best option? Should I marry him here in Canada or in the States? I think it would be much easier for me to do it here in Canada so I can take a five year leave from my work after I marry him incase we ever wanted to come back I would have my secured job. But is it much harder for me to get into the States after if we marry here in Canada? Please get back to me ASAP. And any more info I would need is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
