International Issue Canadian living and commuting to work in canada

To start off, I'm an American, my husband is Canadian and we got married in Texas and little over a year n a half now. I have had my immigration paper work to get into Canada submitted now for 11 months, still waiting. I was wondering if we got a place together in washington state will he have any troubles crossing everyday for work in Canada? Or is there a visa or ... something that we may need?

He's a Canadian, he's entitled to work in Canada and to enter the country freely. You never know with border security, he might get a hard time, but they can't keep him out of his country. I expect he might have more problems getting back into the US every day.

Thanks for the reply! I figured he wouldn't have any trouble going back into canada, but I'm afraid the American side will be bothered. Does anyone know of a visa that may keep us more protected from trouble at the border?
