My 16 year old Son was convicted of 1st degree Burglary, today. Based on a Sheriiff lying and testifying that I told him my son admitted his guilt to me. I want to appeal this decision. But in the mean time, my son's sentencing hearing is in 3 days. We've been told by his attorney, that he'll get 52 weeks. I don't want this to happen, so I want to bail him out of detention, before they send him away. And have him not go to sentencing, untill we can appeal. Would this hurt my son in any way? And how would I go about starting the appeal?
