Can the landlord hold me to a lease agreement I never signed?

I have been living in my apartment for a month now. Upon moving in, I signed a month to month rental agreement. One month later, the property manager shares the news with me that I was given (and signed) the wrong contract. Apparently, I was suppose to sign the one year lease contract. I, however, was planning on giving the property manager my notice of intent to vacate by the end of the month due to my job being relocated. My questions is, does the owner of the apartment complex legally obligated to honor the month to month rental agreement that I signed (but the property manager did not sign)?

They won't be able to hold you to the one year term, however it sounds as if you are not going to give adequate notice of your moving out. You can kiss any deposits goodbye.
