I have a Power of attorney for my mom. I don't have the original, I have a copy of it.do I still have the power of attorney for my mom.

I suspect a person trying to use a COPY of a DPOA will have trouble using it to make decisions for someone.

The acceptance of a DPOA is up to the entity or person where you're trying to use it on behalf of a named person.

I suspect mst entities would want to see the original with a seal.

There is no law compelling anyone outside of healthcare roviders to accept a DPOA or POA.

You could be asked to show guardianship or conservatorship to act as anther person's agent.
