Can I sue police for an illegal search and seizure

I had a criminal drug case that was dimissed because of an illegal search and seizure.I want to sue the police for damages

Generally just having a case dismissed doesn't mean you have a case to sue the police. Can we have more details, please, re the criminal drug charge that was dismissed - why/when were you searched & just exactly what did they seize..... Thanks.

(Did you do anything that was against the law in any way?)
