A friend is distraught because she took her car to a dealership for an oil change yesterday, and was talked into trading it in for a car she can neither afford nor which suits her needs. She returned to the dealer hours later, focusing on the fact that the trunk couldn't accommodate her work equipment (as her old trunk had) and asked to break the deal and get her old car back. The dealer would not consider it, and instead tried to sell her a more expensive vehicle with a larger trunk. They gave her a low trade-in price which created $5k in negative equity. She says it all happened so fast, and I believe she was taken advantage of. Does she have any recourse to reverse this deal? Thank you.
