can a funeral home hold our mothers burial records from us without a power of attorney or will. There is nine children and we are between 40years to 57 years old. Only one sister can get them. and the will not release them to the rest of us because they said the only one named rose was allowed to get them. our mother had a life insurance policey and she hid it from the rest of us .when confornted she stayed she was intitled to it no one else, but we were all listsed as benifieres. she does not talk to anyone in the family now. What can be dont to get the paperes from the funeral home

You should contact the insurance company that is alleged to have held the policy on your mother's life.

If that was the funeral home, then mom most likely held a burial policy, not a life insurance policy.

The former pays for the burial and incidentals, the latter pays out monies to the named beneficiaries.

Insurance policies contact all named beneficiaries of a policy. Though they may have trouble locating you, if sis does not help them. She can't get your portion, if you are named.
