My name is Ruby Tello while I was in custody in Kandiyohi county jail in Willmar Mn, I was boarded out to Renville County Jail in Olivia Mn. I experienced racism and discrimination, Bullying and name calling, bitch and dirty Mexican, I was told no one would believe me or take their word or mine. etc was directed to me on many occasions by the Correctional Officers during my stay. The more I complained about the way I was treated and spoken to, the worst the punishment got. I did make formal complaints however when I asked for copies, they could not provide them. Since my release on Nov 17 2018, I have been struggling with emotional and mental health issues. My meds were also withheld from me while I was there and In Kandiyohi. I would like to be heard and find closure.
