I didn't use an attorney to file bankruptcy, chapter 7. Now I've gotten a letter from an attorney representing the credit card company(s), they are trying to get me to pay a monthy pymt/no interest until paid out (lower $ amount than owed). I was placed on disability which greatly affected my income and ability to pay bills. Can they garnish SS/disability? Not sure what to do. The reason I went with bankruptcy was not being able to make the payments.
