I have just wnet through a bad divorce. The judge issued a order of spouce support. even though I have been unemployed and on unemployment for 4 months. now I have to pay at least 1/3 of my unemployment to someone who is making more than I do. There is no children. I was bearley able to meet my monthly bills, and now with this I will have to live in a tent. I don,t like the idea of filling bankruptcy but at this point I can not see any other way. can you give me son thoughts on this. thanks

Why don't you contest the order. It doesn't make sense that you should pay spousal support to a person who makes more than yo do if there are no children and you are unemployed. Now that you have time, you might want to investigate how to make changes to the support order through a petition. A court clerk can help if you cannot afford an attorney.
