Criminal Law Ban on Visiting U.S.

Hello.
My wife, a top manager of on of the American inter-continental industrial giants in Moscow, Russia, has been assigned to go to US for 2 up to 3 years to work in the company's headquarters. Obviously we have to go together. What are my chances to get a visa, keeping in mind that I have some troubles with US authorities - in 1997 i was crossing US-mexican border illegally and was caught and applied a 10 year ban on visiting us. How can I clear up my history? We are strongly motivated to return back to russia after assignment is over, and we can prove our real estate and business ownership here.

There is no way anyone can give you the right advice here. Situations like this are specific and require the expert assistance of an immigration lawyer. If you had a 10 year ban on visiting the US then my opinion is that you should speak to an immigration lawyer. It sounds like you can afford this and call it a "cost of doing business."

OP, if the 10 year ban started in 1997, you should be okay, 15 years later.
