Are insufficient fund (bad) checks dischargeable under Chapter 7 bankruptcy? If so, what are the details on this?

My understanding is that NSF checks are an example of a debt that is potentially non-dischargeable. The creditor must object to the discharge of the debt within a specified period of time or else the debt will be discharged. Other examples of non-dischargeable debt include significant credit card usage just prior to bankruptcy filing, debts incurred by fraud and damages resulting from acts that are willful and malicious.
