I had a non injury accident (slight dent very minor) and the other guy insisted on a accident report. When locating my registration and proof of insurance I realized my insurance had expired needless to say the officier cited me for this. Honestly I did not realize it had lapsed as my vehicle is still in mine and my exwifes name in order to keep my ins. rates low. I had been giving my ins. premium money to my ex. believing she had been keeping it current but she had not since july. I went the same day this accident happened and updated it and made it current. I was given a court date for Jan. 5, 2009. I was just kinda wanting to know what to expect and to see if there was any advice that would be helpful to me or was I just up the creek without a paddle? Anything or any advice would be helpful. Thank You
