Auto Lease Return Bill

Hello, We leased a Van and, tried to trade it in to the same dealer, and they attempted to bury us with the trade, and suggested we sell the vehicle. So we put down $7,500 cash on a used Truck. my wife had a used car which was paid for. So we decided to sell the Van as the dealer had suggested. And the lease company said we had to sell it through the dealer, but they refusedl, stating it had too many miles a 2001 with 90k miles. But the strange thing is the same dealer sold us a 2002 Truck with 87k miles. So we were force to turn the leased vehicle in. And they sent us a bill for $5,900. We feel this is not right, because we were told we had 3 options when the dealer sold us the van. Sell, Trade in. Or turn in the keys and walk away. They took our other 2 options away from us. And left us with only 1 option. We feel this is fraudulent misrepresentaion. Please Advise !! Thanks
