A car was bought with my daughter in law. I was on the contract as the primary buyer and I had her added on to help her credit as the co-buyer.
She currently is making all the payments, out of my son and her joint account. I dont want her on to have the car anymore because of substance abuse on her part and a recent car accident she had.
So my question is:
1) What rights do I have as the primary signer/buyer on a auto loan over a co-signer if co-signer has been making all the payments?
2) I have just refinanced the car and have removed co-signer from all paperwork, and I am taking possession of the car right out of the shop, is there any legal repercussions?
3) If all paperwork to the car isn't affiliated with her name, does she have any legal right to it?
