I'm going through a very hard time right now and been praying to God for help (& jesus for forgiveness) with my situation for almost 2 years now and it just keeps getting tougher.
I made a mistake almost 2 years ago by going to a massage polar and texting some porn pics on Facebook like she was leading me on and even was invited back the following week which I did not know was going to be set up. While walking up to the building two guys in regular street uniform came out chasing me and I jumped in my car as they started pounding all over the car one smashed the windshield with his gun which I did not realize was a gun till took off and was able to flee the scene but I was scared it was the boyfriend or something to the lady who invited me back.
The cops went to my house and thrashed my place looking for me as I parked and slept by the bodyshop because wanted to fix windshield. Then in the morning I called in that would be a little late and when got to work, sat down at my desk about 30 minutes to 1 hour later the cops come busting in both doors yelling WEAPONS KNIFES GUNS ETC ETC DROP THEM ALL and puts the cuffs on me whispering in my earn I'm the one you ran from then dragging me all around work embarrassing me as I kept repeatedly apologizing for running that I honestly did not know they were Spd Cops and all he could say is to tell that to my partner whos not here.
Next he threw me in the Vehicle and took me down to the station to question me by saying you cooperate and everything will go smooth for you which was a lie. He asked for my permission to use the phone for evidence which I said go ahead theres nothing got to hide from anyone.
They put me in jail with a bond denial, laughing at me took my photos, and put me on the news. (Boss at work fired me because saw the news, my equipment rental company would not rent to me no more by sending me a message saying saw the news, basically my public profile in San Antonio TX was ruined by the cops).
About a week later in jail my neighbors found out I was in jail (2,500 bond/10%) and got me out. I hired an attorney for over 5k and all he's been doing is resetting the case every month while I keep checking in the pre-trial and bonds every week. In the mean time I'm struggling trying to find work but the entire year no one wants to hire me due to pending charge on background check even after explaining to them why and I know can sue jobs for what falls under [discrimination against people with background].
But God says no to doing that as he will serve justice in our lives. A few months later into the case I get a call from my bell bondsman saying did you know there is a warrant for arrest? I called my attorney to find out why because have been following all the rules and he said it's turned into two cases now 1 for a misdemeanor harrassment charge and now a 3rd degree charge for evading arrest in a vehicle.
My attorney got a bonde for me which was set around 10-15k and now had to be at two separate cases and my attorney keeps resetting both cases now. During the last two weeks starting with Friday I head to the next court date for the felony charge and my attorney's assistant shows up looking like he has no clue to what is going on and says to me your court date is being reset and when I ask what date he says hold on and we go back into the court room while I wait on him he starts texting and looks nervous then my attorney showed up and starts talking with the prosecutor and everyone else and then we talk.
My attorney says we can do a plea bargain resulting in no jail but this will be on your record for life or we can fight for innocent on the fleeing arrest case. I said plea bargain and he goes back into the court room but steps back out a minute or two later looking for something and I say you know I just realized I'm innocent and I would like to fight this case, he smiles and says alright then goes back inside. When my attorney came back out he said it's set for Monday.
I go Monday morning, I'm sitting in the courtroom as everyone shows up on time with a new judge there. This time my attorney talks to the judge and few other people and leaves the room. I'm there in a full court room watching them call names and make judgments on people as well as a few prisoners. I'm there longer than usual until there just about done calling names when my attorney stepped back into the room and starts talking to everyone and I noticed as he was talking to the judge my attorney started walking to the computer lady the judge gave him a funny look then my attorney went over to me and we went out of the room to talk in the hall.
He said Just found out my cousin died and will let you know the new court date as soon as have one. Now more waiting which the freedom still feeks like I'm in jail but from the outside because the way the city is treating me as well. Come to find out, the police destroyed my 1 thousand dollar cell phone. I don't know what else to do but wait for Gods judgment and keep praying as bills pile up for rent, auto, food, etc.. Next my Attorney got the 3rd degree case dropped if I followed probation terms which was a huge list of stuff along with a little over 2k fine. Still struggling with work and 2nd month on Probation the cops kept harassing me and my Lady roommate (till I have to leave) where I was staying at her home (she is from el Salvador and bought a home here in 2006).
Two of the probation officer's came down and started going through all my stuff and my phone which I advised them had in my pocket by trying to be honest. While they were going through all my stuff one guy goes look we found some porn pics in the Google drive trash can and my old hobby photography photos in another folder that I did not remember all these photos where there nor know the ones in the trash bin. They called the Judge (I think that was her) and started egging her on and sending her lots of the photos. Before they left I even said that there is no need for these photos and deleted them right in front of them but all they said was hahaha that might look good. Over the next 4 or 5 weeks a friend of mine at church invited me to a bible study at the house with Christian fun activities for everyone. Had a great time till I light for the night and was stopped by 2 cop cars for passing someone going on what seemed like 2 miles per hour on a around 55mph road.
The cops then immediately pulled me out of the car and started questioning me and was about to let me go until they got an alert saying there is a warrant for my arrest (I had no clue about this) and they towed my car then said were gonna give you a warning since you got enough problems to deal with already. It cost be over 2k just to bond out the next day and get my Vehicle back. I called my Lawyer and he was trying to advoid me but the his assistant text me saying he can take the case for about 6k. I called other attorneys and one said there is a new law on Harrassment and something about constitutional we could try in court and get everything completely thrown out.
Around 45 days later I go to court and say when asked do you have a attorney, replying said I guess not then texting my attorney more he said I will be there in 10 minutes and the officer guard handed me a paper to sigh for court appointed attorney which I did not sign. My attorney shows up walks around the court room, talks to the judge, and then calls me out side. Then I begin asking my lawyer to reset the case that I can get 5k around Jan the 15th if will take that and I said another attorney can get the case expunged for 5k and he said well no one can promise you anything and I keept quite hoping to get the case extended or a continuance.
The black African lady jude (who seems very nice) called me up and said you need time to hire this attorney again and I said yes. She asked how long do you need and she gave me till January 17th. Now my problem is if I don't come up with that money do I hire a court appointed lawyer which will have no choice but if I do should I keep sticking with the same attorney or go with the one who speaks of getting this case closed for good? This all seems like a gamble no matter which way I go and keep getting harrased/pushed around by my probation officer at the check-in office. Any super high intelligent smart advice out there?
