What is the statue of limitations on a contract for art work for state of Texas. The original contract was 7 years ago. The artist representative signed the contract saying that the original artwork would be held by him. The representative has since died and now publishing company is going to artist direct to supply original art work. Since this is unavailable the artist is being told that he must redo all the art free of charge?

If you are talking about breach of contract, my understanding is that it is typically 6 years (it is in NY state)... however... that might be from the time the breach arose. If the breach was 7 years ago, it might not be an actionable claim. But if the contract was created 7 years ago and the breach occurred recently... it might be actionable.
