Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication any hope getting out of a detox fine??

I was not charged with any crime. However, on a 'welfare placement' was taken to detox. I now owe $455. Is there any way to get out of this??

I live in Colorado.

Any help is appreciated.

Nope. I just paid my detox fee today and you are paying for "services rendered" it doesn't matter why you are there. They charge $455 per day in detox. The only saving grace you may have is dependent on how long ago you were released. My facility let me pay $273 if it was paid within 3 business days. There are also payment plans.

Your fee is in lieu of having a criminal charge filed against you and having to pay fines that could be more than that fee.
