Another punn off of the net!

A judge, bored and frustrated by a lawyer's tedious arguments, had made numerous rulings to speed the trial along. The attorney had bristled at the judge's orders, and their tempers grew hot. Finally, frustrated with another repetition of arguments he had heard many times before, the judge pointed to his ear and said, "Counselor, you should be aware that at this point, what you are saying is just going in one ear and out the other."

"Your honor," replied the lawyer, "That goes without saying. What is there to prevent it?"

Yours truly

What do you get when you cross a lawyer with a mafia don?

An offer you can't understand! :D

Here's one more...

Three professionals, a doctor, accountant and lawyer, responded to an ad were lined up for a job interview at a local corporation. First the doctor was called into the interview room and was told that an answer to a simple question was all that was needed for the evaluation process. The leader of the panel in the room asked him "how much is 2 + 2?" The doctor pulled out his medical books to carefully analyze the question and responded "my diagnosis is that the answer is 4." The panel thanked him for the answer and told him that he would be contacted shortly regarding their decision.

Then the accountant was called in and asked the same question. He pulled out his calculator and financial books and told the panel succinctly that "my calcucations reveal that the answer is 4." The panel thanked him too and told him he would be contacted shortly regarding their decision.

Then the lawyer was called in and asked the same question. The lawyer looks around, makes sure the door is closed, gets back into his seat and leans over to speak to the panel in a soft voice and asks "how much do you want it to be?"
