Here goes i have a 1 year old boxador (boxer and lab mix) he's still a puppy and is having a issue staying on his tie out. Hes normally very sweet and playful. However last night he got off the tieout and got out of our fence and visited the neighbor. Then i guess he fell asleep on her frt pourch and when she went outside he was suposedly growling and barking at her. This is totally out of the norm for him. Anyways she called the police and dog catcher. Now she is saying that this has happened several times which isnt true. I am supposed to call the police dept tomorrow and discuss this with someone about her pressing charges. He did no damage i dont really understand what kind of trouble i am in. Is this her word aginst ours or?? My other neighbor came over and put him back in our gate and that was it.

You have no legal obligation to discuss your dog with anyone. I suggest you do not. Having a dog at large can subject you to legal penalties. A bite can cost thousands.
