Hi! I am an American and my fiance is Jamacian. We would like to get married but are not sure how to. Would I have to go to Jamaica to marry him, or will he be allowed to come here to marry? If so how can that be done? If I go to Jamaica to marry him would that mean that I would be giving up my American citizenship? I would also like to know how to start the process either way. What documentation would I need to travel to Jamaica to marry? I am aware that until January 1, 2007 I only need a my birth certificate and U.S. i.d. to travel abroad and reenter America.
