A divorce decree in 1996 ordered child support of $500/month. The "Child" will be 19 next month, and is now in college. The decree mentioned nothing about college tuition.
Two questions: What is the age of majority in NYS, and
If it is 21, and I'm not supporting enough for the mother's chosen Ivy League School, what can I expect, if she decides to put the squeeze on?

I believe that the age of majority in New York is 21.

My understanding is that the court decides exactly what you should pay. There is no such thing, from what I see, that requires you to pay for an Ivy League tuition fee.

See N. Y. Dom. Rel. Law § 240(1-b)(c)(7)
