About 2 years ago, I was at my girlfriends home. It was a very bad snowy day, and her dad slid in the driveway and hit and severely damaged the front end of my car. (note: I did have insurance at the time, and my car is a newer car, an '03 at that, while his is about an 1980 something beat up dodge truck.) At the time he did not have insurance, so he asked me NOT to file a claim, and that he would pay for the damage he inflicted out of pocket. Well, as of today, I have not received a single red cent from him. My question to this is, would I now be able to take him to court over this to get him to pay for the damages done? Is it too late to file a claim?
