96 MPH ticket

i was recently pulled over in Long Island for going 96 in a 55 MPH (which i CLEARLY was not doing) the officer gave me a ticket saying go to court and they will reduce the penalty (which isnt even indicated on the ticket) he also said that because im from CT that nothign would go on my license. Will i get my license taken away?

New York does not send tickets to other states so it will not go on your record. The officer was correct.
