When you are a President and people tell you that there is an attack to the nation, what law are you breaking if you stay seated, walk away from the telling without taking action to protect your nation, your people.

None.
You might, however, subsequently be accused of malfeasance.
The problem with your question is that a sitting US President is a very unique animal.
The only person who can arrest a sitting president is the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms.
The only body that can charge a president is the Congress.
The only body that can try the president is the Senate.
In your "hypo", its highly unlikely that any immediate legal jeopardy could be imposed on such a president.
Why?
The president, members of Congress, and The senate are pretty much immune from legal process, not entirely, but pretty much.

You DO know you can simply Google the answer to your questions.
