I need advise on this violation 39:4-66.2. I was driving on 1 & 9 South to Holland Tunnel. The traffic was so pack, and I was approaching to a "T intersect", but there was a "No Left Turn" sign. Therefore, I turned right to a Bus and Truck machanic shop and turned around. When the light turned green, I drove across to the cross street. A cop stopped me and gave me this ticket. I told him that I did not make a left turn. But he said that you drove into a private property to avoid the sign. At first, I did not know there was a such law. When I searched the violation code on the internet, there had been such law in NJ for years. The fine shows $0.00 and I was required to go to the court.
Question.
I do not think that it is that offensive violation. The system just fine violator for other violations. Why this violation requires violator to go to court? Why I can't just pay the fine and put it behind?
