Hello,
I am a 19 year old male. Last night, myself and 3 friends were in a public park around 11:00 PM. There were 3 beers on the floor, 2 of which were open, and there was 4 of us. The beers belonged to my friends, and I had no intention of drinking since I was driving anyways. The officer said that I am responsible because we went their in my car. I was the only one to receive a citation. I am 19, and my other friends are 18, 19, and 19. THe citation reads:
Obs Viol in poss of alcohol at public park. 1602 MGD 3/4 full, cool - moist to the touch.
This happened in Los Angeles county, california around the pacific palisades.
What is the penalty, fines, probation, comm service???? Do I have a good chance of fighting it? -- in other words what should I use in my defense
