My 15 yr old has been given a notice to appear for MIC at the Juvenile Intake and assessment center. This is a first offense. The night this was written county sheriffs busted the party where many minors were. They said they had a noise complaint from a neighbor 4 houses down. All the neighbors are on 1 acher lots. When we "many parents" arrived we were not allowed to see our kids or be present during their questioning, and were kept waiting for over an hour. My child was in contact with me via cell phone off and on and said the cops were isolating, and intimidating during interigation. The minors were brought out to us one at a time and then cited and released. My question is was that completely legal. The officers said they could question our kids without a parent present if they were over 14. Is a minor not a minor? Second question, What will the probable fine and or punishment be for this offense.
