15-4 Investigation regarding an IED

Hello, I don't know if this is the right place but I was doing some research on my father that died in afghan some years ago in an IED, and I stumbled upon an FOIA request from a lawyer asking for the complete 15-4 investigation pertaining to the incident.

I am just curious as to what kind of information one would find on the investigation report.

Could it have been Army Reg 15-6?

More than likely, it was pursuant to his COD (cause of death) investigation.

The regulation lays out the authority for the investigating officer to look into specific matters, such as your dad's unfortunate death, my son-in-law's, and my brother-in-law's, too.
