10 hours till eviction, can they?

My wife and I are in temporary living in 30 foot fifth wheel trailer in baypoint ca. its private property. yesterday a vehicle abatement officer from sheriffs office came and told me i have to immediately vacate or they will tow my trailer and i will not be able to get it back i asked him 4 at least a week he gave me less than 36 hours. He was only going give me 1 or 2 hours is this legal others have told me that its a bluff that this cra% hole of a city does it to scare people to move immediately. This is emergency I have but a few hours till I loose everything.
