    Collusion between divorce attorneys?

You indicated collusion wasn't a crime. Isn't fraud a crime?

    Collusion between divorce attorneys?

(Names have been changed to protect real identities) Client C1 tells his attorney A1 that he will only consider a settlement/mediation if his wife (W1) will consider returning some of his belongings. A1 either never tells W1's attorney (A2), or A2 never tells his client W1 about this settlement...

I'm attaching a screenshot with the legal service ads (changes location and content in the middle of the message, but content is localized to my geographical area, so it is not random content) that appears. This one appears after point #3. Usually it appears after point #1. I can email you...

    legal shield

It is one of a number of paid Legal Advice services. Many companies are offering such services as an added Employee Benefit for a monthly premium/fee. My experience with another such service (major/nationwide service) has not been stellar: while they do provide the basic legal advice one seeks...

I just tried Chrome on my Android tablet. Ad appears. I have a screenshot that I can upload here to show, if necessary. The ad does tend to move to different parts of the message on successive page-refreshes. It appears to be triggered if Location Information is enabled on the device, and the...

I guess I should install Chrome on my Android phone. And I am offering feedback, which is what this thread is about?

    Fraudulent Conveyance?

Devising a scheme to transfer assets (during the lawsuit with the vexatious litigant) without explaining to P1 what a fraudulent conveyance is, is OK for attorney A1 to do? I'm surprised more attorneys don't do these things without incurring any kind of liability. And in Law, isn't there the...

    Fraudulent Conveyance?

Scenario: Person P1 is dragged into a lawsuit by a vexatious litigant. P1 meets with an attorney A1 who claims to specialize in "Asset Protection", according to P1. (sidenote: is this really a field of legal specialization?) A1 devises a scheme to transfer all of P1's assets into a Revocable...

There is an ad in the first message of this thread, right before point # 1), if viewed with Firefox (Windows) or Dolphin (Android). URL is http://www.thelaw.com/forums/showthread.php?p=132635

I guess it's all a matter of perspectives. I can't imagine forum readers want to see ads in the middle of message postings: it makes it look like the person posting is advertising. In any case, I use Tapatalk most of the time, and the ads don't appear.

I am looking at the forum messages using a PC-based web-browser now, and I see ads right in the middle of messages! Could those ads be moved to the bottom of the message, or between consecutive messages? Just my $0.02...

Lawyers must wear a jacket in court?

"beautiful wigs"? Lol! I beg to differ. I wonder how that would go down with lawyers here in the U.S. I believe former British Colonies (e.g. Canada, India, etc.) continue to use the wig?

    Spammers!

Some suggestions: 1. First 5 posts must be moderator-approved before appearing. Most spammers spam on their 1st posting. 2. Enable more trusted people to delete spam posts immediately so that others don't see it. 3. Require new account setup to include more human-interaction.

    Banning people

No. The thread(s) that were deleted were from mid-december, not on or after 12/28/2012 when my account was reinstated. 1. Thread about filing a complaint against attorneys in California. Search for "Office of Trial Counsel" in your message base. It is gone. That thread was not started by me...

    Banning people

If they don't reply, ban the account. Spammers use links/URLs in their postings. One way to stop spammers is to implement a 10-post rule. i.e. disallow posts containing links or URLs until the user has 10 (or more) valid postings in these forums.

    Banning people

I am using the same username as before. What happened to the thread about filing a complaint against an attorney in CA? Somebody started that thread and I replied to it, and the whole thread is gone.

Lawyers must wear a jacket in court?

I witnessed a family court judge telling a new attorney (just out of law school?) to put on his jacket/coat, sternly. Is there such a dress-code for attorneys in court in CA? In the U.K. do lawyers still have to wear those wigs in court?

    New Release of Mobile Apps

I downloaded the app, and it serves as a good and quick reference of legal terms, etc. I was hoping to see better integration to access the forums here. The app launches the mobile web browser to browse the forums. I'm currently using the Tapatalk mobile forum app to read this forum.

    Banning people

Could an effort be made to contact a suspected spammer before banning the account? I just had my account reinstated, and it appears spammers may be using the same range of IP Addresses as me on Verizon's cellular network. 3 or 4 of my important postings have disappeared as a result. And...
