    PA ticket

They are enforcing "Keep right unless passing" law fairly strongly now days (for good reasons). I'll bet it's the law in both states. She (or a lawyer) might be able to plea this down if points are an issue. Otherwise, look at it as a driving lesson and move on.

Can I use a PJC in N.C. for this???

I think a PFJ will only help you if you live n NC. NC has a separate points system for insurance. The PFJ only applys to insurance points. $250 will be added to you speeding fine and costs. Is it a mandatory court appearance? Given the ticket was in a work zone, it would be advisable to...

    55 in a 45 in NC

Sounds like he should have a reasonably good chance to get it reduced as long as the officer does not change his mind. A PFJ might be an option also. If the DA won't deal, plead not guilty and go find a lawyer to take care of things.

80 in 65 zone in NC - worth going to court?

Don't take my word for it. I think the one that kicks it up to a misdemeanor is: "Speeding in excess of 75 miles per hour (mph) when posted limit is less that 70 mph. " Another way to tell is if you get a couple dozen offers in the mail the next few days from legal firms offering to...

Son's Speeding ticket and other problems. Need Advice.

A 90 in a 55 is probably too serious to be granted a PFJ, especially with the discovery of something drug related. PFG's are meant for minor infractions but this will be a midemeanor. An attorney can give the best advise, and your son probably needs a good one. The following web sites can...

Not sure what to do; NC Speeding Ticket

Since he used the "conviction" word, and knowing that 5 overs are very rarely given and a 9 over is probably a plea, I have a feeling he is allready familiar with NC traffic attornies? I have reason to believe the NC insurance companies access the original citation database (public record)...

    NC Speeding Ticket

Conviction for 88 in a 45 will result in a relatively serious (misdemeanor) charge in NC. You are risking a very long suspension and a very high insurance increase. You need a lawyer to minimize the long term damages. It will sound expensive at first but will probably save you money in the...

    Prayer for Judgement in NC

What county did you receive the ticket? How much of a reduction in speed were you offered? In NC, 9 or less over is no insurance points as long as you have no other speeding tickets 12 mo after conviction. The "suspended driving privledges in PA for a refusal to blow" sounds like a...

    1st Car accident

The person you hit deserves full compensation for the damages you caused even though is is "an old Checy truck." Plus he will be out the time he has to take getting estimates and messing around dropping off the truck and getting a car rental (which you will have to pay for) so he has something...

    Insurance Premium

While the insurance company may use an attorney to minimize their damages, I doubt they will be representing your best interests. You may need your own attorney. I'd worry more about the insurance company dropping your coverage forcing you to go into a high risk plan.

Prayer for Judgement - After the fact

You will be dealing with NC, not WI. My attorney told me a few months ago he had a number of NC clients shocked when a 2 yr old out of state speeding ticket for 15 over resulted in their licence being suspended and a big insurance hit when the conviction finally came back to NC. He...
