    Depending on the crime the statute of limitations will vary depending on that charge. If just a misdemeanor than that time has likely expired. That does not mean your former employer does not have other options.

    There is no guarantee reply. However yes if store decides to pursue charges they can turn over all evidence to Police and then file a complaint. The the Police will have until statute of limitations runs out to arrest you

    I have read many times that Lawyers have suggested ignoring civil demand there can be several reasons for this. I will get into that if you wish but for now lets just say I personally disagree with ignoring such letters. Not to say one should ignore Attorney advice its just my opinion.
