I was offered a speical interest rate at 0% for 12 months by my credit card company. All i had to do was preschedule three payments on autodebit which i did. The last payment was to be made on April 20th, i called on the 17th and asked if i could have that payment moved to the 24th when i got paid. i told the customer service person that i had a special deal going and i didnt want to mess it up. I told her if i could move the payment without it effecting my account then i would go ahead and move the payment to the 24th. I was told no problem it wont effect the accout at all she moved my payment date to the 24th as i requested.

Well, two weeks later i recieved a letter stating i was being terminated from the speical finace program due to late payment. I called the credit card company right away and told them i called to have my payment moved to the 24 and was told it would be fine and wouldnt effect my special finance rate...after an hour of agruing with them a manager told that the payment was scheduled for the 24th but wasnt paid until the 28th so because of that the payment was late which is an automatic termination from the program. after arguing with the manager for an hour telling her is specifically asked before moving the payment to be sure it wouldnt effect the account and i was told it wouldnt, and thats why i went ahead and changed it to the 24th not the 28th.

She finally told me they would check the recorded conversation and if i did state i didnt want it to effect my account negatively my moving the payment then they would put me back on the program. Today i called to find out the results of their findings and they told me i was still terminated from the program and that my interest rate was going up to 33.6%. when i asked for a copy or transcript of the conversation they told me they would not give it to me, and that they did not have to prove anything to me.

So my question is:

do they legally have to give me a copy of the recorded phone conversation if i request it? sense it is being used against me to terminate my speical financing? and what can i request from them to prove there stand for terminating me

You scheduled the payment for the 24th, did you actually pay on that date or was the payment made on the 28th. If that is the case you really don't have anything to fight about because the payment was late.
If, on the other hand, you did make your payment on time... Send a letter requesting a transcript of your conversation. Give them as much detail as possible in the request letter; date, time, person you spoke to, approx. how long the conversation was, etc. Tell them you were removed from the special program by mistake and would like their cooperation in finding a solution that is beneficial to both parties involved.
Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.

Yes i scheduled the payment to be taken out of the 24th it was an automatic debit that the credit card company set up. However they didnt take the payment until the 28th. I dont see how that is my fault if im requesting the payment be made the 24th and dont do it when i asked to have it done that is their fault right?

Sounds like a minor clerical error. You may need to cut thru the red tape to get to someone who is helpful to fixing this for you. Be persistant. That is all it takes. I've personally been wrestling with Verizon for six months. I'ts a matter of speaking with
1) someone who knows what they are doing 2) someone who cares 3) someone who has the authority.

Good luck
