My stepsons mother is on her honeymoon and my husband and I need to take a trip to see my sick father. We are caring for our son while she's away and we will have to take him with us. She is not aware that we need to take this trip since it has come up all of a sudden, however we plan to be back in time for her to pick him up. We don't want to bother her on her honeymoon and aren't even sure she'll be able to recieve our cellphone call even if we tried to call. Are we legally required to get her approval to take him on a flight? Do you think we should interupt her honeymoon?

Any help will be appreciated.

I think things of that nature should have been covered in the original agreement between the parties, concerning visitation, vacations, etc.

If there is nothing in stone saying you must contact before travel, I don't think you should worry about it. It is, afterall, your husbands and your child to!!! :)

I would think that could be covered under emergent situation if needed... just my opinion tho.. :)
