Although I have a tremendous debt with creditors and owe massive amounts in back taxes I was just order to pay massive alimony way beyond my capaiblity to pay. Divorce was in NC, I live in SC. Can the court effectively force me to default on my creditors in order to pay alimony?

How was the alimony amount figured? Did a judge pick a random number?

I thought the process had something to do with your net income minus your monthly bills, and then -that- amount is halved. One half you keep, the other goes to your spouse. Since your bills eat up all your money, I imagine that figure would be quite low...

But then again, I don't know how your alimony payment was determined.

Need assistance with an alimony situation. Florida General Master and Judge who upheld ruling, doubled alimony and disregarding a transfer to Federal Court prior to the hearing as well as improper service notice of the hearing. Federal Judge dismissed case and remanded back to state court.

Many changes have taken place in my life for worse and ex wife's life for the better. Modification has been denied also.

After filing for bankruptcy, tried to claim that instead of alimony an equitable exchange of property took place, i.e. house for money-also denied.

What if anything can I do? Also is an alimony warrant extraditable from another state?

Thanks
