3/31 My keys disappeared. 4/1 My car disappeared. 4/29 received message that my car was recovered and taken to Quality(towing). First call to Quality, after finally finding the right car, shocked me with a bill already over $300. Little by little I have been able to gather more info. including the police report, which was modified. But it states that three vehicles were involved. All three drivers were injured and they all refused transport. There are actually many questionable details to this whole thing. The point is, though, do I sue the driver? If so, how? Do I need pics of my car? It goes to auction tomorrow. Can a hold be put on it? I haven't even had enough cash to ride the bus so I haven't been to see it myself or collect whatever might have been left. I don't have a phone either. I know time is running out quickly. Do I need a lawyer? If so, what kind?

If there is anything left to save, GET INFRONT OF THE JUDGE that ordered your car to be sold. The time lapse only gives the impression you don't care!

Yes they can. I assume that you did not have it insured. You can sue the person that stole the vehile but your chances of getting anything out of him are slim. I assume that you reported it stolen so why wasn't the driver arrested?
