My husband has a 12 year old daughter whom lives with her mother, but has said to my husband via e-mail that she wants to live with him. Is there an age in the state of Missouri that she has a choice. I know as a mother of two children from a previous marriage I gave both them a choice because I gave them the chance to be with the other parent and decide for themself if they wanted to stay there or come back with me.

The child(ren) does not decide custody a judge does. No matter what the age. However a judge can listen to said minors opinions and reasons a rule according to these opinons/reasons. Bottom line though judges rules in what he/she feels is in child's best interest and that may not always be what child wants

I beg to differ. A "Judge" has no authority over the family UNTIL you allow it. I don't care what chickenshit rules/regulations there are, they can only be applied if you ALLOW them to.

I'll challange any one or law firm on this.
