If I turn myself in for this failure to appear and contempt charge,what is the procedure? How can an attorney help me from my home state?

A: You walk into the cop shop, introduce yourself, and state the reason you are there. The cops will take it from there.

Will it be of any benefit if I hire an attorney from my home state? Could they lower the bond amount before I turn myself in?
 
in ohio when you turn yourself in with an att. they will negotiate your surrender. your warrants will be lifted and you will have to appear in court. on your first appearance in court they will set a bond. you will then be held untill bond is posted. seeing as it is a FTA you will prob be getting a higher bond then normal. -good luck
