Arrest, Search, Seizure, Warrant FTP warrant

I was arrested on a warrant for FTP. It just clicked to me they never sent me anythng in the mail letting me know I missed a court date or that there was a warant issued for FTP.Aren't they supposed to send you something in the mail?Could I possibly get the FTP charge dismissed simply based on that?

I am assuming you mean FTA (meaning failure to appear).

"They" are not supposed to do anything.

YOU are supposed to show up for court.

If you do not appear for court, then "they" will issue a warrant for your arrest for failure to appear.

Yeah but I thought they were supposed to send you something in the mail telling you about the warrant if you missed court.

I didn't even know I had a court date in the first place til this past weekend.I was arrested 2 years ago on disorderly intoxixcation.THey let me go ROR about 2 am while I was still drunk.I don't remember much about the nite which is why I'm assuming I was still drunk.I had everything I went out with the nite before but no paperwork telling me about a court date.So I figured I was lucky it was a bad nite but they let me go.Now l2 ast Sat they arrest me telling me there was a warrant for FTP for a court date 2 years ago I didn't even know about.It just doesn't make sense to me.Could any Lawyer look at the facts fairly and really think they have much of a case?
