My husband and our neighbor were having a talk that became heated. Some ugly words were exchanged on both sides until the big nono word...C*** was uttered by my husband to our neighbors wife. The neighbor tried to come into our house to get to my husband, who pushed him back with his hand on his chest and picked up a knife when he attempted to come back through the door. When the neighbor saw the knife he stepped back out of the doorway. The neighbor called the police (as did we) and my husband was handcuffed and statements were taken on both sides. The neighbor decided not to press charges and my husband was let go. (we heard the police talking and they both have misdemeanor and warrants) How long if any can the prosecuting attorney/or our neighbor walk into the police station and decide to press charges? And who decides how far to far is when someone is coming into your house? It's been two weeks since it happened. Thank you
