Another Soldier AWOL

So what sort of penalty is he looking at?

These days after the death of a female soldier and male soldiers at Fort Hood???

Perhaps a slap on the wrist, a verbal reprimand, or a hug and a couple days off to "destress".

In the days of yesteryear, non-judicial punishment at the company level would mean a fine, extra duty, and a "naughty boy" letter in the soldier's "201" (personnel file).

Heck, with a new spouse and brood of "youngins", a promotion might be in order. :D

Let's not forget the "Vanessa Guillen Tragedy" remains fresh in the recently "woke" minds of our "fearful", "compliant", "knighted", "vaunted" general officers.

Absent-Unknown amuses me. Sugarcoats AWOL. Didn't have Absent-Unknown in our day, Judge. AWOL was AWOL.

It sure was, brother.

In Basic we were told, if you aren't at the appointed place by the appointed time, you'd be marked AWOL.

I've broken a few rules in my life, AWOL was one that I avoided breaking at all costs.
