Missing Soldier

As I am understanding it, the reason this whole thing broke wide open is because she came forward with information. Maybe she has a small portion of a conscience lurking deep within.

Some might consider it conscience, I consider it, "Yeah I did it and I'm as guilty as sin, but now I'm gonna make a deal to lessen the time I'll serve."

Would someone explain to me why they are protesting down there and the family is demanding a Congressional investigation?

The usual reasons: notoriety, grief, anger, sadness, money, helplessness, disbelief, etc...

The sad, nevertheless, same old song The Tops sang about back in the good old days of 1965.

I did see this video
and the soldier's sister doesn't mention that at all.

But they seem to be saying it is a race thing. The military reportedly has a pretty bad history of investigating sexual harassment charges brought by all races.

I visited Waco Federal Court this morning for Aguilar's bail/detention hearing. I plan to attend her trial.

A federal judge denied bond for Cecily Aguilar Tuesday afternoon after she pleaded not guilty to the charge she faces in connection to the death of Vanessa Guillen. The judge said Aguilar must remain in jail until the trial.

Aguilar is charged with three counts of conspiracy to tamper with evidence. The judge did not set a date for her next court appearance.

During the hearing, U.S. Attorney Mark Frazier said Aguilar deleted her google account and while she was in jail she called someone to ask the person to delete her Facebook page. In another phone call, Aguilar said she wanted to leave the country with a $5,000 credit card, Frazier said. Criminals never learn to shut their pie hole.

The attorney for Guillen's family announced before the hearing they will meet with President Donald Trump July 29 in Washington D.C. Natalie Khawam said the meeting will come one day before the #IAmVanessaGuillen bill will be introduced to congress.

"She's a terrorist, she's a murderer, she's a sicko. You know? She's a danger to society She killed a U.S. soldier in vain," Khawam said.

The announcement came as protesters gathered outside the McLennan County federal courthouse Tuesday morning to demand justice in her case.

The protesters held signs and chanted in English and Spanish calls for justice. Organizers said they were going to be there until after the hearing. Members of Guillen's family, including her father and a sister, were also there.

The federal criminal complaint reported Aguilar's boyfriend, Spc. Aaron Robinson, repeatedly hit Guillen with a hammer, killing her, on Fort Hood on April 22. She was then mutilated and burned in an attempt to dispose of the body with Aguilar's help, according to the affidavit.

According to the complaint, two witnesses, interviewed May 18 by investigators, said they saw Robinson pulling a large "tough box" with wheels that appeared heavy coming out of the arms room where Robinson worked. The two witnesses said they saw Robinson load the box into his vehicle and drive away.

I still don't understand the need for the protests.

I suspect the family and their supporters feel helpless. Their helplessness might be leading them to let others know of their plight and pain.

That said, its their right, just as its our right to speak out about the mask mandates.

As the FIL of a young man who gave his life doing his duty in the mountains of Afghanistan, whenever look at my grandkids and daughter, I can understand.

God bless the patriots willing to stand and fight on the wall in places thousands of miles away from our blessed homeland.

Some hurt and pain we've experienced will linger forever.

Is the state trying her too?

I believe the state hasn't formally charged her.

I'm told the state will determine how to proceed after the federal trial has concluded.

She might be implicated in another murder case that the state is investigating.

Ft. Hood in the 2010 census had 53,416 people in it.

I don't think 3 deaths are that unusual.

Fort Hood is a military installation.

A murder on a military installation is odd, perhaps rare.

These recent deaths portend an ominous trend.

Some around these parts are calling this a "war on privates".

Is it?

I've resided near Fort Hood for 20 odd years.

I find this recent rash of deaths to be disturbing.

Something is amiss.

I hope we learn the truth very soon.

America's moms, dads, and spouses don't expect their familial treasure to be slaughtered on our shores.
