Other Criminal Charges & Offenses Simple Possession out of state charge

Hi, so this is kind of a long story but I would really like to hear some feedback to settle my nerves.
I live in Florida (the charge is in TN but i'll get to that) and my friends and i were taking a road trip to colorado and back. Our friend who is 21 is in college so he had to fly home early so we dropped him off at the airport and began our journey home. While driving through TN, friend A was driving and friend B was in the passengers seat. I was sleeping in the back seat behind the drivers side and I woke up to friend A saying we were being pulled over. The cop takes friend A's license and sees that it's suspended (it turns out it was bc he had a lot of speeding tickets and was too lazy to take the online class for it). The cop takes her to the area where his car is and comes back up and asks me for my ID. When he returns again he "smelt marijuanna". I didn't smell a single thing so i know for a fact he didn't but don't even get me started.
Friend B (the one in the passengers side) admitted to having a joint and i was absolutely in shock. I have a rule that there are NO drugs in my car. I am 19 years old and it was an illegal state. And everyone knew i had that rule too. I don't think the cop wrote down that she admitted to it but i will call her out in court if i need to. the marijuanna in the car was NOT mine. shortly after, we learned it was part of the marijuanna purchased by our 21 year old friend (who flew home early) in colorado where he bought it legally. I am guessing he left it in the car because we stayed a few nights in colorado and HE did smoked marijuanna there (legally of course). He is coming to court to say that but i'm not sure what good that will do. None of us admitted it was ours because it wasn't. i'm still questioning how friend B knew it was there.
At the end of the search since none of us admitted it, the cop charged all of us with simple possession. unfortunetly, it was my car that we took on the trip which sucks because we could've taken anyone's car but of course it had to be mine.
In the spring of 2018 I was charged (NOT convicted) with possession of paraphernalia (that time the bowl found belonged to friend A so what i am getting from this experience is that i need to find different friends but that's besides the point). because of that, I SUCCESSFULLY graduated from drug court in FLORIDA and that case was dismissed.
I just want to hear some possible outcomes and I am absolutely hiring a lawyer because I cannot let myself go to jail for a joint that was not even mine. In fact, Friend B (the one who admitted to knowing it was in the glovebox) went to lifestream for a psychological exam so she can take it to court and show them she's not a druggie or whatever and "throw us under the bus".
I am hoping for the best possible outcome. i will do any probation and pay any fine but i do NOT want to go to jail. I start my career soon and i finally got my life back together after the same friend completely ruined it last time and i do not need my life to be ruined over something that was not mine.
thank you for reading this far and i am open to any feedback from anyone!!

If someone steps up and says "the dope is mine" UNDER OATH in open court, the rest of the "gang" will PROBABLY get off the hook.

Nobody will to to jail over this.
Your attorney might have some luck negotiating a lesser offense that allows you to avoid returning for court, pay a small fine, and not have a criminal offense in your record. You might even get the whole thing dismissed if the officer can't connect the marijuana to you more directly.
This is a very petty issue. The prosecutor doesn't want to deal with it any more than you do

I know several prosecutors in TN, which is a bit like TX, especially in the rural areas.

Trust what i say, my friend, real prosecutors like real law enforcement officers enforce the law, and prosecute the law accordingly.

Not knowing how the "gang" behaved on scene, but I suspect their lack of cooperation plus what was discovered in the vehicle has lead to what is being discussed.

It wasn't the officer doing his duty that lead to this.

It was perp(s) holding the weed (which has a very distinct odor, often undetected by the holder thereof) which immediately makes itself known to the nostrils of most people that don't use that junk.

In my view, weed and crack/cocaine have very distinct, pungent odors that can be immediately detected.

Bottom line, no dope has ever been in my home, my vehicles, or on my person illegally.

The OP hinted at it, she needs to disassociate with certain people immediately, and make sure she vets her associates better.
