Well, Momma had better get used to it. If Kiddo stays in the military he's going to have a lot of things said to and about him that Momma will probably not like.

And there is nothing inappropriate about calling someone who steals a thief.

You're absolutely right. Someone said something very inappropriate about my 17 yr old. He's a kid. Momma bear came out. You know we are when someone says something about kids mommas burns me up

Well Emma, your son is going to hear much tougher language about his fitness to be a soldier and maybe even a human from his CO and likely his CO's CO. How well he stands up to that may well have a significant effect on his future.

No one said anything inappropriate. At all. Your son stole. That makes him a thief. If he is otherwise a good Soldier, his command may choose to give him a slap on the wrist and let him continue his career. However, if he is a sub-standard performer, acts entitled, and is otherwise a PITA, then I wouldn't count on him being a Soldier much longer.

I

I will make sure I send this response to his attorney and report this sight

Report whose sight? Oh you mean the website? Why would you report the website? Also why does his lawyer care what someone says on a forum? If you hire a lawyer, he'll probably tell you to stop posting about the case on public forums.

Yes they said something about my son very inappropriate. He's only 17yr old. Graduated
The momma bear in me came out.

Never in 15 years in the Army did I put something in my pocket while at the PX and "forget" about it. That's because I didn't steal. I have also never put something in my pocket or a purse and "forgot" it. I also always check my cart before I pay for the things I bought to make sure that my daughter didn't grab something when I wasn't looking and it got caught somewhere or make sure I didn't forget anything.

Was he just a bit blunt in his opinion on your son? Sure. But guarantee your son got worse in basic and AIT from the drill sergeants - and probably heard a LOT worse from his drill sergeant in AIT after he got caught shoplifting.

If i had a child in the military and in AIT this happened - or any point - I would probably myself call my child a moron for making a poor choice like that.
