How is a drawing different that a photograph/video?

Lead YOURSELF NOT into temptation, DON'T do it!

Curiosity KILLED the cat, Matt!

In this case, I suggest you forget her and move on with your life.

Women aren't inanimate objects.

Women should NOT be dehumanized and objectified.

Would you like it IF someone posted a picture, drawing, or rendering of your "teeny little unit" drooping near your scrotum causing millions of perverts to gawk and guffaw at such a sight?

Save YOURSELF citizen, don't think about her, draw her, obsess over her, reflect on her, or do anything other than FORGET her.

She's forgotten you and is living and singing about her "la vida loca"

I think you are a confused, sad person. If you read my message, you should see that in #1, the drawing was made WITH permission.

Perhaps you should reflect on why you have such a negative view on things.

Also, I was more looking for an interesting discussion, e.g., Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition, 535 U.S. 234 (2002), rather than some lame quote from Mathew 6:13.

Your drawing was made with permission according to you. Once you publish it for all to see her memory of that may become hazy.
Do you have documentation of her consent and rekease for you to do as you please with the image?
If not then you are taking a risk.
Being the artist you are, why not change it so it no longer looks like her?

Then go to City Data where people discuss the ridiculous and the sublime every day.

She's your EX-girlfriend. Get over it and get on with your life. Nothing good can come of posting her picture anywhere.

Jeez, you make about as much sense as the guy who wants to picket his former employer because he got fired.

There is nothing interesting about dehumanizing or objectifying any human being.

I have no desire to discuss or debate anything with mouth breathing, intellectual inferiors.

Also, note from the Pope:

"It is not a good translation because it speaks of a God who induces temptation," he told Italian TV. "I am the one who falls. It's not him pushing me into temptation to then see how I have fallen.

"A father doesn't do that; a father helps you to get up immediately. It's Satan who leads us into temptation – that's his department."

Your legal acumen is as sharp as your corpulent body. It seems you need some rest.. perhaps you need to crawl back into your cave and hibernate a few more months.

And perhaps you need to start understanding that no one here owes you an answer of any kind, and that legally your position is weak at best. Insulting the volunteers who tell you that is not the best way to get people's help.

Soon, very soon...until the appointed time, I'll simply wait.

I'm going to guess that this drawings will be either demeaning or obscene pictures that you wish to use to ridicule or embarrass her due to whatever issues you had when you broke up. If my guess is correct, she may end up suing you for a privacy tort or other claim. Is that the kind of mess you want to involve yourself in?

And if the pictures you drew or are going to draw are of her while a minor (under 18), you may be charged with possession and distribution of child pornography, too. I suspect that's one of the issues you are concerned about since you mentioned the Ashcroft case. If that is at all a risk here — if she was under 18 at any time while you dated — then any obscene/lewd/naked pictures you have of her, whether photograph, drawing or whatever is probably best promptly destroyed and certainly never shown to others.

This kind of revenge against an ex rarely gives you the satisfaction you want. And even aside from the legal consequences, do you really want to be known as the sort of guy who does this stuff to an ex? It might cause you problems with future employment, as hiring people will see that and fear sexual harassment or similar problems if they hire you. And if any woman you date or want to date finds out you do did this, there is a very good chance they'd drop you like a hot potato. If your reputation means anything to you, then the smart thing here is to resist the temptation to attack her reputation. Just let it go.

It seems this site is populated with hypocrites.. "mouth breathing, intellectual inferiors" ?

I was just replying in-kind.

Nice way to treat new members.

Revenge porn is not a nice way to treat someone you were intimate with. To betray a trust in such a vile way is repugnant. Be sure the ex doesn't have a pic of you emerging from the cold ocean naked...perhaps she will rent a billboard for her revenge. ;)

Andrew, is this a drawing that is flattering or is it one she would feel humiliation about it being posted online? If you asked her directly for permission to publish it, would she give it?

Where do you want to post/publish it and why? What exactly does this drawing depict?

Photos and videos are typically created using mechanical/electronic devices called cameras. Drawings are typically created by hand with pens, pencils, etc.

Then you asked a really strange question. What aspect of that case would you like to discuss? Simply saying, "I'd like to discuss" a U.S. Supreme Court case, isn't going to get you very far since the internet is full of commentary about U.S. Supreme Court cases (particular those decided in the last 20 years).
