Getting kids back after guardianship awarded to ex husband family

Jurisdiction
California
Last year after having my ex husband arrested for domestic violence, his sister took me to court and filed for guardianship. I was completely clueless to what gaurdenship was. And I thought at the time that there was a lot of coincidences that really weren't coincidences. First thing was they filed out of the court that ex brother in law work for as orange county sheriff. Next my ex husband was released from jail within 48hr of arrest without even seeing the judge, D.A dropped the charges and released him. The judge seated on the case knew both my ex sister and brother in law, he worked with her at a different court, and him from being a sheriff there. Judge says to ask for change of venue, problem is this court only one in our jurisdiction that does gaurdenship from probate. So no chance of changing. In the end I was told by his sister that this was a good idea I could see kids when I want, go back to court and ask for them back whenever. I agreed cause I work 11pm to 7am and had no one to watch them . Well I don't see my kids but 1 time a week if she lets me, she won't let me talk to them on the phone. Only a couple of times was I told about school events and that was cause my ex couldn't make it. He has the kids every weekend, every holiday. During court I was accused of using drugs, I request for drug test from thier lawyer but was never tested. Since I am an L.V.N I am drug tested for every new job. I have had 2 different job that I tested and was clean. I want to go to court for my kid's to come back. I have tried to research what I have to do to get them back and 1 thing is regular visit while they are with her. But I don't have regular visit cause she is constantly finding reasons I can't see them or just out right ignoring me when I ask to see them. I have my own apartment, I work, I will show proof from employment of negative drug test. What else can I or should I do before going to court? I live in la habra ca, our case is out of Santa Ana ca. I don't know how to find out information about all the "coincidence " of the case to see if I had a fair case to begin with. I don't expect anyone to know all the answers to this problem but if someone could tell me where to start, or information on what I need to do before I go to court to at least have a fighting chance of getting my kids back would be greatly appreciated
